On Sunday January 8th 2012, the Dorchester Winter Farmer’s Market Will be opening in the Great Hall in Codman Square. This one of Boston’s only Winter Farmer’s markets. Many see this as the first step towards a brick-and-mortar co-op in Dorchester. This will be the only city market to accept EBT/SNAP and Boston Bounty Bucks. Hours are 12 – 3 p.m. on Sundays, Jan. thru March. The market will sell produce, breads, meats, cheeses and other items. Mayor Menino, State Rep.
